Ltc. Rodney Wayne Horejs, 70, passed away at his home in Star, Idaho on October 11, 2020. Rod was born October 28, 1949 in Twin Falls, Idaho. He was the only child of Larry and Ina Horejs. After graduation High School in 1967, Rod served honorably with the US Army / Idaho National Guard, 116th Armored Calvary. One of Rod's most talked about experiences during his military career, was the three year's he and his family were stationed in Germany. Rod thoroughly enjoyed traveling the country learning culture, history and traditions of the Germans. He retired in 1999. Rod enjoyed camping, fly fishing and bow hunting. A competitive trap shooter and skilled marksman. A passion for Harley's, who loved the excitement of a road trip, assembled his first Harley-Davidson in his basement apartment. Had a need for speed and if you had ridden with Rodney, you'd know what I mean, flying down the HWY in his Nissan 370Z. Rod was preceded in death by his parents - Larry and Ina Horejs, beloved wife Waketta Lee Horejs and step-daughter Janet Bryson. He is survived by his daughter Liza Horejs-Bruder, step-son Steve Ashdown, two granddaughters Christina Edwards and Ashley Bruder and four great grandchildren Eliana, Amariah, Ketta and Silas. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd. in Twin Falls.
