Ronald J. Hamilton, age 82, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away at St. Luke’s Medical Center, on September 19, 2019, following a long struggle with heart and kidney disease. Ron was born in Boise, Idaho on April 9, 1937 to Orville and Edith Hamilton. He graduated from Gem State Academy and later graduated as valedictorian from The California College of Mortuary Science. He met his future wife, Dorothy Anne Pitts at Gem State Academy. They were married on December 9, 1956, in Boise, Idaho. Ron spent over 30 years as a professional mortician and was an owner of White Mortuary until 1988. He then found interest in farming, raising cattle and trucking. Ron enjoyed mountain camping when the children were young. After they were grown, he returned to the passion of his youth, flying. Even though health issues prevented flying for many years, he still enjoyed being at the airport and had many friends there. He was preceded in death by his son Ronald Bret Hamilton in 2010. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, his sister Donna Schoonhoven of Eugene, Oregon, his daughters Brenda Smith and Bunny (Loren) Lancaster, both of Twin Falls, 11 wonderful grandchildren: Benjamin (Jaimie) Hamilton, Brienne (Jeremy) Kuchel, Hailey (Johnny) East, Grace Hamilton, Caleb Hamilton, Tess Hamilton, Lucas Hamilton, Amanda (Michael) Imboden, Megan (Travis) Reed, Matthew (Lacey) Lancaster, Mackenzie (Anna) Lancaster and 10 great grandchildren: Liam McMahon, Autumn McMahon, Colt East, Evin Imboden, Avery Reed, Rowdy Reed, Ally Hanchey, Bentlee Hanchey, Charli Hanchey, Knox Lancaster. Ron also cared a lot for his 9 nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Seventh day Adventist Church, 131 Grandview Drive, Twin Falls, Idaho, on Sunday, September 29, at 11:00 A.M.
