Ronald Dee Urie

Ronald “Ronnie” Dee Urie, age 66, of Eden, Idaho passed away peacefully at St Luke’s Magic Valley surrounded by family on June 4, 2023. Ronnie was born on July 4, 1956, in Jerome, Idaho to Elmer Ray and Virginia Rose (Morton) Urie. The family lived in Shoshone until 1964, when they moved to Eden. He attended school at Eden Elementary, Hazelton Elementary and Valley High School. He worked for Jones Livestock in early years and later at Ore Ida in Burley from 1976-1986. He married Carla Brown in 1976 and later divorced. He then worked for Roost Potato, Intermountain Beef and Stanley Hay until his retirement in 2017. He enjoyed riding his ATV when he got the chance and spending time with his dog, Sandy. Ronnie is survived by his sisters, Elna Black of New Hampshire, and Vickie (Steve) Combs of Oklahoma. His brothers, Paul Urie of Eden, Gary (Chong) Urie of Hansen, and twin brother Donald (Kathleen) Urie of Eden. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, Jami, Nikki, Michael, Matthew, Jennifer, Heather, Jack, Beverly, Karen, Amanda, Blake, Brittany, and Brian and many great nieces and nephews as well as his dog, Sandy. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Virginia and two older brothers, Gene and Larry Urie. Viewing will be held at Parkes Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd Twin Falls on Sunday June 11 from 5:00-7:00 pm. Graveside services will be held at the Shoshone Cemetery on Monday June 12 at 10:00 am.
