Rosie Satterwhite

Rosie June Satterwhite, age 92, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away peacefully in her home on March 11, 2023. Rosie was born in Twin Falls, ID on February 23 rd 1931 to Frank and Susie Messinger. Rosie married the love of her life Charles Satterwhite in September 1947. They had five children, four boys, Leland, Doyle, Richard, Curtis, and a daughter Debbie. Charles and Rosie lived in Twin Falls until 1960 when they moved to a farm south of Jerome. After many years of farming, they moved back to Twin Falls. Rosie raised her five children and received her nursing degree in 1973. Rosie graduated in the first nursing class from the College of Southern Idaho. Rosie retired from nursing in 1985. After retiring they spent their winters in Arizona and made many friends. Rosie loved to play pinocle and shared her love of the game with her kids and grandkids. Rosie is survived by her five children, Leland (Sherry) Satterwhite, Doyle (Debbie) Satterwhite, Richard (Melissa) Satterwhite, Curtis Satterwhite, and Debbie Ule, 14 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 17 great great grandchildren. Rosie was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles and a granddaughter Wendy Lively. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
