Samuel Fisher

Samuel Lester Fisher Samuel L. Fisher, 85, of Twin Falls, passed away peacefully at home on August 27th, 2022. He was born in Colome, South Dakota on July 13th, 1937. Sam grew up in L.A. and moved to Idaho as a teenager. He graduated high school in Kimberly, Idaho. He married his beautiful bride Donna Hiatt on September 1st, 1967. Together they raised a happy blended family and were married for 55 wonderful years. Sam had a passion for fly fishing, and he built his own fly poles with his sons as they grew up. He used his handcrafted pole until his final woolly bugger hit the water on August 24th, 2022 with his family surrounding him. He was never disappointed with no catch as long as he caught knowledge. He was preceded in death by his parents Evelyn (Wales), George Quesnell, Eber Fisher, and one son: Richard Fisher. He is survived by his wife Donna Fisher of Twin Falls and three brothers: Euguene (Charlotte) Fisher, of San Antonio; Richard (Helen) Fisher, of Las Vegas; and Dave (Phillis) Fisher, of Granite Bay. He is survived by five children: Greg (Tricia) Fisher, of Twin Falls; Christy (Bryan) Newberry, of Twin Falls; Brenda O’Brien, of Twin Falls; Shelly (Robert) Thompson, of Ferron Utah; and Ebera (Brett) Titmus, of Nampa. Samuel is also survived by ten grandchildren: Chase Larkin, Chelsea Klaas, Heather Richarz, Josh Fisher, Evan Anderson, Garrett Anderson, Hannah Licudine, Amanda Barker, Barbara Gallegos, Brooke Fisher, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great, great-grandchild. Sam’s family is very grateful for all the love and support they have received and thank Auburn Crest Hospice for their extraordinary care for Samuel Fisher.
