Selma "Sally" Wirth, age 95 , of Kimberly, Idaho, peacefully passed away at her home Heritage Assisted Living surrounded by her loving family on March 10, 2021. Selma, or to most, known as "Sally" and affectionately known as "Skid" by her family, was born in Park River, North Dakota. Daughter of Gullick and Anne Hanson, who both immigrated from Norway. Her first spoken language was Norwegian and she carried her heritage forward by baking many Norwegian holiday cookies and Lefse. While young, she set out to Seattle with her cousin and best friend and worked at Boeing as a Riveter, Sally loved to quilt and had made many hand-quilted vibrant quilts for her family, friends, and gave quilts for donations to be auctioned at the Kimberly Senior Citizens. She was also a talented seamstress and made many of her children's clothes. After she finally retires, she enjoyed fishing with anyone who would go with her and would usually out fish everyone. Sally moved to Kimberly, Idaho from California in 1969, bought a home and lived in the same home until she went to Heritage. She worked very hard and loved to garden, put up food for winters and continued raising her 3 younger children. She was an active member in the Kimberly Christian Church and loved her Sunday walks down the street to church! Sally was the youngest of 11 brothers and sisters and the last to leave to return home to waiting arms. Sally was preceded in death by her only son Lenny and her granddaughter Jenna. She is survived by her four daughters; Lorna Bouse of California, Terry Fonnesbeck (Forrest) of Utah, Trudy Givens (Randy) of Twin Falls and Penny Jones (Mike) of Montana and six grandchildren, six great grandchildren. A memorial/celebration of her life will be held at Parke's Funeral Home at 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho, 83301 on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 2:00 P.M.
