May the Winds of Heaven Blow Softly And Whisper in Your Ear How Much We Love and Miss You And Wish that you were Here Our Beautiful Mother, Sharon Kelley will be remembered with love long after she is gone. As the sun was rising on February 6, 2022, Mom passed peacefully into the gates of Heaven welcomed by loved ones who had gone ahead of her. She was 84 and as she put it “I am just worn out and tired.” Mom was born January 21, 1938 in Twin Falls Idaho, the eldest daughter to Bruce and Wanda Hewlett Glandon. Seven brothers and sisters. Mom attended schools in Gooding and Kimberly Idaho and was a member of the Methodist Church in both Gooding and Kimberly. On April 18, 1956 mom married Frank Davis. They had two children Kathy Anne and Frank Bruce. They divorced and she then married Louis Kelley October 12, 1958. This marriage brought six children into the union Steven Louis, Karolee, Karl Scott, Shana Jean, Michael Patrick and Mari Diane. Mom had 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Mom and Dad loved to dance. In early years they would dance at the Military Inn to the Waldon Brothers who my Great Uncle Charlie was a member of. Later in years they would dance at the Senior Centers. They were a couple of dancing fools but boy could they dance! Our father Louis passed away in 2008 and mom met Richard Carpenter three years later who became her partner in life until he passed three days prior to her death. When mom met Rich, he did not know how to dance. Didn’t take him long to learn. Mom had him out there teaching him to dance in no time! Our mother devoted her life to her family of 8 birthed children and many who she always welcomed into our home for a place to sleep or a meal around our big ole table. Our friends were her children too. Mom loved visiting with the elderly and get histories and a little gossip of “Days Gone By.” Her hobbies were genealogy, history and playing in her flower beds. We always said mom planted her flowers on burial grounds because they were always so beautiful and she could turn a mud hole into a meadow of beautiful flowers. Mom belonged to many different organizations devoting her time to writing history of our family and many other families, her favorite place of all Gooding Idaho, Gooding Historical Society, Friends of Stricker and Twin Falls County Historical Society. She was a past member of #82 Order of Eastern Star and a member of the Gooding United Methodist Church. Mom is preceded in death by her parents Bruce & Wanda Glandon, brothers Sam and JayDee, Husband Louis, Son Steven Louis, and partner of ten years Richard Carpenter. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. All in Heaven to greet her. We Begin to Remember not Just That you died, But that you Lived And that your life gave Us Memories to Beautiful to Forget See you on the other side Mom……….keep on dancing. Please join us in a celebration of our mothers life April 30, 2022 at 11:00 am, Gooding United Methodist Church, Gooding Idaho.
