If you asked a hundred people who Steve Ford of Twin Falls, ID was, they’d all give you a different story. A race car driver. A farmer. The world’s best truck driver. A master mechanic. The world’s best friend. A grandfather. A star basketball player. The fastest track star in the universe. A word class hunter. The master of valuing antiques. Steve was many of these things, or perhaps he was all of them. What he was, was a storyteller and an adventurer. From the time he was young he was constantly looking for his next greatest adventure. It didn’t matter if he was trying to entertain his friends, or he was making a day on the farm an adventure. No matter the occasion, Steve always made things memorable and had a story to share. It’s no surprise that Steve featured as the hero of most of his tales. He was born in Portland, Oregon on August 24th, 1962. Steve was then adopted by his loving parents Richard and Helen Ford. Steve was adopted following his true heroes in his life. His eldest sister Kristi (Craig) Robillard was someone he always looked up to and had lots of stories to tell about what a role model she is. No story could ever be complete without it including his older brother Andy (Mardi) Ford. So many childhood adventures he talked about included his love for his brother. He truly admired him and was honored to be his little brother. Following the addition of Steve, his little sister Janice (Scott)Witte was born. Steve always had stories to share about Janice’s love for her animals and her spunky personality. Steve loved his little sister and was blessed by the adventures they got to share. In 1982 Steve was blessed with a new hero. After Steve graduated from High School in Ontario, OR he moved to Twin Falls to attend College of Southern Idaho for the mechanic program. Steve did his internship at Chaffin Oldsmobile in Idaho Falls where he met the true love of his life. Charlotte was his hero and stood by his side until his dying breath even after their stories led them to a divorce in 1994. Charlotte and Steve were true hero’s to their children Stephanie Ford (Jeremy Potter), Timothy Ford(Annaka Greene) and Justin Ford. They were always by their children’s side as their parents regardless of new partners or life circumstances. Steve truly was a heroic parent. Steve’s real love of his life came when his grandchildren were born. There is nothing that Steve was more found of and proud of than his grandbabies. Steve is survived by his biological grandchildren Dayton Legg, Karson Legg, BentLee Martinez, Nychole Ford, EmmaLynne Ford and Carrianne Ford. He was also Papa to Jeremy’s children: Tayler and Seth Potter and Annaka’s children: Nariah Flinn, Arriana Beverly and Baylee Greene and loved them all dearly. Papa will always be the hero in all the grandkids stories as he taught them many things and shared lots of laughs with them all. Steve fought his hardest battle of all when he suffered a massive heart attack. Against all odds, Steve fought for two weeks to become the hero of his own story. Steve’s biggest hero of all needed him more than we did and took him to heaven on January 23rd, 2022. Steven was surrounded by all the people he truly loved when he took his final breath. Steven was predeceased by his father Richard Ford, his grandparents Richard and Katherine Ford, Sr., and Gus and Ella Kudlac as well as beloved cousins and aunts.
