Terry Lynn Williams

Terry L. Williams, 82, passed away peacefully July 15, 2024 at River Rock Assisted Living in Buhl, Idaho. Terry was born June 7, 1942 in McCook, Nebraska to Ronald and Yvonne Williams. Terry was raised with his brother Scott Williams (deceased) and was involved in the Boy Scouts. The family relocated to Twin Falls, Idaho, where Terry graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1960. 

After high school Terry studied at the University of Idaho, graduating with a Bachelors of Science degree in Wildlife Management. Terry began his career as a Conservation Officer with the Idaho Fish & Game in 1966, and worked for an impressive 33 years before retiring in 1999. Terry joined the National Guard in 1964. Terry served from 1964 -1971, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant with the 116th Engineering Division. 

Terry married the love of his life, Vickie (Jensen) Williams in 1967 in Boise, Idaho. They were married for 57 years. They moved to Mackay, Idaho where they raised 3 children, Shane, Justin and Shelby. Terry was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish. 

Terry was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He held various callings within the church, including Scout Master. Terry and Vickie were sealed in the Boise, Idaho Temple on May 18, 2007.

Terry is survived by his loving wife Vickie, 3 children; Shane (Robin) of Meridian, Justin (Camille) of Salmon, and Shelby (Jerry) Smith of Filer, 9 grandchildren; Jansyn Williams, Ashley (Kirkham) Dooley, Cahl Williams, Sage Smith, Mackay Williams, Lucas Smith, Cooper Williams, Dustin Smith, and Abby Williams.

He was proceeded in death by his mother Yvonne, father Ronald, brother Scott and Scott's wife Norene.

A visitation for Terry will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 229 Park Ave. Twin Falls, Idaho 83301. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 229 Park Ave. Twin Falls, Idaho 83301.
