Todd Carlyle Hanson entered this world on April 15 th , 2005 in Boise Idaho. He joined his forever family on April 15 th , 2007 in Twin Falls Idaho. Todd searched for 2 years to find his family and the day he saw his mom he recognized her instantly. It took Todd and the Lord a little bit of time to get Mom to recognize him, but when she did, her heart knew Todd was her child. Sight unseen, Dad knew Todd was his boy within 24 hours of mom mentioning his name. The first time we drove in the driveway with Todd he said, “I’m home”, at 2 years of age. Todd was a light in his family’s life. This dark, curly haired, big brown eyed, dimpled smile boy was always so happy and full of laughs. Every room he entered he filled with light from his sweet spirit. With the love of his forever family, Todd grew by leaps and bounds. He accomplished many milestones that most 2-year old’s already know. He was finally content and with the family he was meant to be a part of. Todd grew and waxed strong. He was loved by so many and showed that love back 10-fold. He loved school and learning new things. He also found joy with his friends. Todd had a passion for dance, playing the piano, shooting baskets, riding his bike, being the class clown, playing video games and spending time with friends and family. He was on the road to knowing who he was and what he wanted to do in life. His nieces and nephews were some of his best friends and they could always get him to join their adventures. Todd’s buddy, his older brother, was diagnosed with cancer when Todd was 5 years old. Todd was so caring and loved Colton through some hard times. He lost his best friend the day God called Colton home. This was hard on Todd and then 12 short months later Todd started down the road toward adolescence. Adolescence brought on a whole new battle for Todd. His DNA carried some mental illness that he nor the professionals could figure out. Todd was still his fun loving self and good at hiding his pain from everyone. He did not know how to get the pain out or talk about it. Anxiety riddled his life and took the fun out of doing things. He just could not bear the pain anymore. On October 9 th Todd made the choice to return to Christ. We found his last words and they were “Goodbye. Love You.” Todd we all love you so much!!!
