Violet Mae Taylor, born on May 13, 1930, in Clover, Idaho, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025, in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be forever remembered by her family.
Violet's professional life was marked by her dedication as a bookkeeper. In this role, she expertly managed finances and, alongside her husband, helped to run the family business, "Taylor's Safety Service," a mechanic shop that distinguished the community. Her work ethic and commitment to her family were evident in all aspects of her life.
Violet received her education at Clover Lutheran School in Clover, Idaho, until the eighth grade, after which she transferred to and graduated from Filer High School in 1948. This foundation contributed to her strong moral character and steadfast values, which she carried throughout her life.
A woman known for her kindness and welcoming spirit, Violet always made others feel at ease. Her great sense of humor and sweet nature endeared her to many, creating memories that will last a lifetime. She held a special place in her heart for her family, cherishing the times spent with them. Her love for animals, particularly her cats, brought her immense joy, reflecting her gentle and nurturing personality.
Violet is survived by her son, Michael Taylor, and his wife, Susan; her daughter, Pamela Taylor; grandson, Joshua Taylor, and his wife, Monica; great-granddaughter, Ashley Taylor Brockman; great-grandson, Brandon Taylor; and four great-great-grandchildren Andrew, Chole, Annie, and Lilyann. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Taylor; her parents, Oscar Herman and Louise Mathilde Bock Werner; one brother; and her five sisters: Edna, Olivia, Hulda, Blondina, and Evelyn.
Her family invites those who knew and loved Violet to join them in celebrating her remarkable life. A graveside service will take place at Clover Lutheran Cemetery in Clover, Idaho (South of Buhl, Idaho), on January 11, 2025, at 11:30 AM, followed by a memorial service at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Twin Falls, Idaho, at 1:00 PM. A luncheon will follow the memorial service, allowing family and friends to share stories and memories of Violet Mae Taylor.
She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will undoubtedly continue to live on in the hearts of her family and the lives she touched.
