His commitment to the Boy Scouts of America was unparalleled, and he served with distinction as a Camp Leader, Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader. His adventurous spirit found expression in his participation in Camp Bradley, Dan Beard Rangers, and various high adventure activities. Walter's dedication to the Boy Scouts was further exemplified by his attainment of 32 merit badges and the prestigious ad Altare Dei Scout Religious Award. As a testament to his leadership and commitment, he undertook the responsibility of an Eagle Scout Project, painting a detailed map of the United States on the St. Edwards School playground. His legacy lives on in the form of this enduring symbol of unity. Qualifying for a Bronze Palm, Walter's accomplishments in scouting were not only numerous but also reflective of his passion for personal growth and community betterment. Walter is survived by his loving parents, Lanny and Louisa Sucher, three devoted brothers, and a host of nieces and nephews, both immediate and extended. His impact extends to many great nieces and nephews who were touched by his warmth and guidance. Walter Lanny Sucher's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
