Wanda (Lee) Leora Nelson, age 91 of Twin Falls, passed away on October 14, 2020, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Twin Falls, Idaho. Wanda was born in Kirksville, Missouri, on August 11, 1929, to Burnie Bowen and Anna Mae Ladwig. Due to her father’s job, the family moved West when Lee was 6 ½ years old. Lee lived in Flagstaff, AZ, Lovelock, NV, Malta and Burley, ID, where she always left a trail of life-long friends. Lee graduated from Burley High School in 1947. She met Bill Nelson at a Dance Hall in Burley. They both loved to dance. They were married on December 1, 1949. Before Lee married, she worked at the theatre and a jewelry store in Burley. When she married, she became a wife, mother and homemaker. Lee loved to do crafts and she shared many of her crafts with friends, including scarves, kitchen towels, painted pumpkins, sweatshirts, afghans, owl wall plaques and so much more. Lee was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bill, and son, Kevin. Surviving Lee is her daughter, Kim (Gary) Quesnell; two grandsons, Shane (Kathy) Quesnell of Meridian, ID and Chase (Jennifer) Quesnell of Twin Falls, and 8 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Lee’s Life will be held Saturday, November 7, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho with a reception to follow services in Parke’s Community Room. Lee loved sports, especially baseball. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a local sport of your choice.
